About Whitefish Mountain Resort
Whitefish Mountain Resort began in 1947 when Winter Sports Inc. was founded to manage the ski resort. Up until then, many came to the “Big Mountain” to ski with family and friends. The new resort opened as Big Mountain. In 1960 they had their first major expansion. In 2007, the name was changed to Whitefish Mountain Resort with a new base lodge and other upgrades. New upgrades are planned for the future. They currently have 93 runs.
