Nationwide Discounts to Honor Veterans and Military For Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a day to honor all those who have served in the military. There are also quite a few restaurants, stores, and other fun attractions that offer some type of Veterans Day discount, whether it is a complimentary ticket or food item, or a percentage off of your total bill. Please keep in mind that some places, such as amusement parks are not offering a Veterans Day discount due to closures or COVID-19 policies. Restaurants might also be more limited. However, there are still many Veterans Day discounts to be found. Here are 16 of them:

Under Armour

They normally offer military a 20% off discount.  Right now through Veterans Day, they’re offering 40% off!

Applebee’s Grill and Bar

Applebee’s, a family restaurant, is offering a special discount on Veterans Day, November 11th. Veterans and active duty military can receive a complimentary meal, not including beverages and gratuity.

Bob Evans

At Bob Evans, an American chain of restaurants, they are offering a special menu to veterans on November 11th.

Buffalo Wild Wings Free Wings

On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty who dine-in can receive one free order of boneless wings and a side of fries. At participating U.S. locations only.

Chili’s Grill & Bar

All veterans and active duty can get a free, dine-in meal from a special menu on Nov. 11 at all participating locations.

Cracker Barrel

All U.S. military veterans receive a complimentary slice of cake when dining at any location nationwide.

Dunkin Donuts

On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty can enjoy a free donut nationwide, no purchase necessary. Veterans Menu available all day, dine in only.

Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar

Houlihan’s is an American Casual Restaurant and bar. They will be offering $10 off a $30 food purchase for in-restaurant dining or carry out on Wednesday, November 11th. The offer may vary based on location but will be available in these markets: Chicago (Naperville), Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas (Garland), Kansas City (Leawood, Overland Park and Lee’s Summit), Long Island (Farmingdale), Pittsburgh, as well as all 10 restaurants in New Jersey (Bayonne, Brick, Bridgewater, Cherry Hill, Holmdel, New Brunswick, Paramus, Parsippany, Ramsey and Secaucus). They also have an everyday military discount of 15% to all veterans and active duty military.

IHOP

Free Red, White and Blue pancakes. Veterans, active duty, and reservists are invited with family and friends to make to-order breakfast on Nov. 11, which includes a free pancake offer until 7 p.m.

Little Caesars Pizza

On Nov. 11, from 11am-2pm, veterans and active duty can receive a free lunch combo, which features four slices of deep dish pizza, paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi.

Logan’s Roadhouse

On Nov. 11, all active duty and retired U.S. military personnel are invited to enjoy a free meal from the American Roadhouse menu. This offer is available nationwide from 3-6 p.m.

McCormick and Schmick’s

At McCormick and Schmick’s, an American seafood restaurant, you can enjoy a half-priced entree on Sunday, November 8th. This is open to members of the US military, national guard, and gold star parents and spouses.

O’Charley’s

All active duty and retired members are invited to enjoy a free meal from “Veterans Thank You Menu” all day Nov. 11. Participation varies by location.

Red Robin

Veterans and active duty who are Red Robin Royalty members receive a free Tavern Double Burger and fries anytime between Nov. 11-30 for dine-in or to-go.

Shoney’s

Offering a free “All You Care To Eat breakfast” to all veterans and active duty on Nov. 11 from open–11am.

Starbucks

On Nov. 11, Starbucks will offer a free tall (12-oz) hot brewed coffee for veterans, active duty, and military spouses at participating locations.

Texas Roadhouse

Handing out vouchers for a free meal to all veterans and active duty from 11am-2pm on Nov 11. Vouchers will be distributed in the parking lots at Texas Roadhouse locations.

Yard House

At Yard House, a restaurant with classic American fare, you can get a complimentary appetizer. This is available to veterans and active duty military.

 

Attractions

The Nashville Zoo

The Nashville Zoo, in Nashville, TN, is working together with Regions Bank to offer free admission to active duty military, veterans, and their immediate families on Sunday, November 8th. They normally offer a $1 off military discount. The parking fee still applies.

Audubon Nature Institute

The Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans, LA, offers a Veterans Day discount of a complimentary ticket to active duty, veterans, and their guests, up to 5 people including the veteran. It is good at the Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium, and Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium.

Oregon Zoo

The Oregon Zoo in Portland, OR, offers free admission for military veterans and active military personnel as well as their family members who accompany them to the zoo. They can also receive 10% off at the zoo store and zoo outlets.

Cincinnati Zoo

At the Cincinnati Zoo in Cincinnati, OH, they are offering free admission to all members of the military on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Veterans Day. This offer is for active duty, retired military, national guard, veterans, and ROTC. You can also purchase up to six half-price admission tickets for immediate family.

Aquarium of the Pacific

At the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach, CA, they are offering free admission to veterans and military personnel on November 11th, 9 am to 6 pm.

National Parks

On Veterans Day, all visitors can visit National Parks for free as a way to remember veterans. There are more than 400 parks, some normally charge a fee, and others are free all of the time. This does not cover amenity or user fees such as for camping, or special tours. You will need to double-check to see if the National Park you want to visit is open during this time.

Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg, a living history museum in Williamsburg, VA, are offering active duty, reservists, national guard, retired military, and veterans complimentary admission once annually for themselves and up to three direct dependents on Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekend. They also have a normal military discount.

Academy Sports

Oct. 25 – Nov. 11, military and first responders receive 10% off.

Bed Bath and Beyond

Active duty, veterans, and military spouses will receive 25% off entire in-store shopping cart on Nov. 11.

Great Clips

Veterans and active duty can visit a U.S. location on Nov. 11 to receive either a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use later.

Exchange

Feature one-day only specials on Nov. 11, including a free coffee for all shoppers at Express and participating Exchange restaurant locations. From Nov. 8-14. The Exchange will also feature deals in stores and online at ShopMyExchange.com.

Office Depot / Office Max

From Nov. 11-13, all veterans, active duty, reservists, and dependents can get 25% off qualifying purchases. Only valid in-store.

Rack Room Shoes

20% off all purchases for veterans and active duty on Nov. 11, 10% off purchases year-round.

Samsung

Nov. 6-11, active duty and veterans who sign up for Samsung’s Military Discount Program can receive an additional 10% on smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories and PCs; additional $50 eCertificate and free phone case when you purchase a smartphone; 10% off select home appliances.

Sleep Number

Valid until Nov. 16, military and veteran families receive an extra $100 off select smart beds and adjustable bases with promo code.
