National Military Appreciation Month Discounts

military appreciation month

There are some organizations and companies that will be remembering the military community during the month of May.  May is also known as National Military Appreciation Month, and includes Memorial Day weekend.

Meaning of Memorial Day

For most Americans who are civilians, Memorial Day is the beginning of Summer.  However, it means something else to the military community. Memorial Day isn’t a day to thank veterans, but a day to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. A day to remember who they were, and all the memories we had with them. A day to remember what they did for the United States.

Often times, businesses will do something on Memorial Day to honor the military, and give something back. And while we know and remember the ultimate sacrifice, we appreciate those who do offer a discount or a free meal, to show that they do remember and care about the military community, and all we have gone through.
