Military Discounts for Kids and Families with Children

Here is a list of military discounts that kids will love to use this month and all year long. 

AMC Theaters

AMC Theaters offers a military discount to save at least 10% off the price of an evening ticket.  The discount is only valid at participating theaters, and you must show your military ID.

American Girl

American Girl sells dolls, doll supplies, and books. They offer a 15% military discount to active duty, retirees, veterans, and military spouses and dependents. The discount is available at American Girl locations and is good for up to $60.

They also have a relationship with the Navy Exchange (NEX), which sells a curated assortment of products at approximately a dozen NEX locations throughout the U.S. and internationally. They also sell their WellieWishers™ products through select Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) locations.

Baby Tula

Baby Tula offers baby carriers, backpacks, and lunch boxes for babies and small children. They offer a 15% military discount on their products. You will verify your military affiliation and then apply the discount code. This military discount is valid for active duty, veterans, and retired military. The discount is not valid on sale items.

Carter’s and Oshkosh

Carter’s and Oshkosh are both children’s clothing stores. On orders over $35, they offer free shipping to APO and FPO mailboxes.

Chuck-E-Cheese

Chuck-E-Cheese is an indoor play place that provides games, entertainment, and food. They offer a couple of packages to military guests. Active duty and their dependents, National Guard and Reservists and their dependents, and retired service members qualify. You must show your CAC, Uniformed Service ID, or Dependent ID.

The military discount may vary, but this was a discount they have previously used:

    • The Alpha package is for a large 1-topping pizza, 4 drinks, and 45 play points for $34.99.
    • The Bravo Package is 2 large 1-topping pizzas, 4 drinks, and 100 play points for $58.49.

GameStop

GameStop, for new and used games and more, offers a 10% off military discount on all new video games, accessories, all pre-owned games, hardware and accessories, and all collectibles. This discount is for in-store only, with a proper military ID. You can, however, verify online with ID.me. It does not apply to sales, clearance, or other promotional items.

In addition to these discounts, many amusement parks offer a military discount as well. You can find them at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Knott’s Berry Farm, Sea World, Six Flags, and Universal Studios.

Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge is a hotel with a water park inside. They have a Howlin’ Heroes Offer to include all military, active or retired. You can save up to 30% with this offer.

Jellystone Campgrounds

Jellystone Campgrounds is a fun place to camp with kids. Some of the parks have “Hero Weekends” with special activities and offers to military and first responders. You can typically find a military discount of 10% at most locations.  You will need to show your military discount at check-in.

They offer a 10% discount year-round at the Tower Park Resort for weekdays.  The Warren’s Wisconsin park also has 10% off for active duty and retired military.

JoAnn Fabrics

JoAnn Fabrics is a craft, fabric, and home decor store. They offer 15% off your total purchase. Their military discount is for current or honorably discharged veterans, reserves, or national guard and their spouses and children. You can use this discount with other coupons. You will need to sign up on the app. 

Regal Theaters

Regal Theaters offers a military discount at certain theaters, which is usually about $1 off of the regular ticket price. The discount is for veterans, and, active or retired military. You must show your military ID to receive the discount.
