Apple

Through Apple you can buy a new computer, iPhone, or iPad to play your games on. The Apple Store offers special pricing with their “Apple Store for Government” program. The special pricing applies to some but not all of their products and works out to be about 10% off. Current, former, and retired members of the US military, to include the national guard and reserves as well as their family can qualify. Veterans and their family members can also be apart of this program. This discount is intended for personal use only.

Dell

If you are a gamer, you will need a good computer to keep up with your needs. Dell can be a great place to find that computer. Dell offers a 10% military discount. This is for US veterans, the national guard, and reserves, as well as those who are currently serving. You can get the discount through Veterans Advantage, Disabled American Veterans, and the Army and Air Force Exchange.

Microsoft

Microsoft offers different gadgets, games, and more. They do offer 10% off select products to active duty, former and retired military, and their families including the national guard and reserves. This discount can’t be used on digital games, digital apps, in-app content and subscriptions, movies, tv shows, office software and apps, Xbox consoles, games and accessories, personalized products, and gift cards. The discount is good at retail stores and online.

Newegg

Their current military promotion has seemed to have expired!

Newegg is an online retailer of computer hardware and consumer electronics. They offer a free year of Newegg Premier for Military. That includes 50% off costs to APO addresses, adding up to four friends to your account, expedited shipping, free returns, no restocking fee, rush processing, dedicated customer service, exclusive deals and special alerts about sales and events. You would need to fill out a form online and the discount is for active duty, reserves and the national guard, as well as veterans and dependents. After you are verified, you will receive a special code.

Lenovo

Lenovo sells personal computers, tablets, smartphones, workstations, and more. They offer 5% with ID.me. The Lenovo military discount offer is for US military, reservists, veterans, and their immediate families. Lenovo ships to APO/FPO/DPOs.

Games to Grunts

Sadly, Games to Grunts has shut down.

Games to Grunts is actually a program run by Operation Supply Drop (OSD) that provides video games to members of the military community via digital download codes. They have distributed 500,000 games since 2010. This program is open to members of the military who qualifies for ID.me’s Troop ID. This program is open to active duty, veterans, and their families.

Chairs4Gaming

Chairs4Gaming sells gaming chairs, gaming desks, and other accessories. They offer a 15% discount to military and veterans. You would need to click on the verification window which only takes a couple of minutes. You will then be issued a one-time discount code which you can apply to any chair on their website. The discount does not apply on Black Friday, or Cyber Monday and holiday sales.

Vertagear

Vertagear sells gaming chairs and accessories. They offer a 20% off military discount for their Vertagear Military Appreciation Program. You would need to fill out a form with your name, email, and a copy of your DD-214. After they process your verification you will receive a discount code

The Exchange

If you live close to a Military Exchange, you might want to check there when shopping for game systems, computers, and even video games. You can purchase these items tax-free which can save you quite a bit of money on some of the bigger ticket items.

As a gamer looking for a discount, asking if a particular store or company has a military discount is a great idea. They can let you know if they have one or not and hopefully you can save a little bit of money when you are shopping.

GameStop

GameStop, for new and used games and more, has a brand new military discount. They are offering 10% off on all new video games, accessories, all pre-owned games, hardware and accessories, and all collectibles. This discount is for in-store only, with proper military ID. You can, however, verify online with ID.me. This new discount started on Veterans Day 2019 and will be valid all year long. It does not apply to sales, clearance, or other promotional items.
