4 Free Months of Apple Music for Military, Veterans

Welcome to Apple Music!

Active US Military and Veterans can get up to four free months of Apple Music as the company expands this limited-time offer.

About the Apple Music Discount for Military and Veterans

Apple is extending an extra month of free Apple Music to service members who have not previously taken advantage of the company’s standard trial promotion. Under the standard trial, new users can try out Apple’s music streaming service for three months.

This offer is available through Apple’s website, and participants in this offer must verify their identity through ID.me.

Service members who are new to Apple Music are eligible for four months of free access, while other subscribers or existing customers get one free month.

The offer expires on August 1, 2021, and it will require an iTunes account if you don’t already have one. The subscription plan will automatically renew for $9.99 per month after the trial period ends. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends to avoid a charge to your account.

About Apple Music

Apple’s streaming music service was created when the company purchased the Beats brand so it could compete with Spotify, the dominant music service at that time.

Apple Music offers users curated music collections, live radio, and “algorithmically generated playlists”. The streaming service also offers the following features:

  • More than 70 million songs
  • Human-curated playlists for artists and genres
  • Personalized algorithmically generated playlists
  • Uses iTunes Match to integrate user’s library
  • Available on Apple devices, Android, Alexa, and the internet.

I’ve been an Apple Music subscriber for years, and I love the service. We have a large family, so we have a shareable family service costing $14.99 per month. The individual plan is $9.99 per month, and they also offer student pricing for $4.99 per month.
