About Dover Saddlery
Dover Saddlery was founded in 1975 by Jim and David Powers. After the 1972 Olympic Games in Germany. Jim Powers wanted to open up a saddlery shop in New England. David Powers joined him and they created a mail-order catalog. Their first retail store was in Wellesley, MA and after opening, they grew pretty quickly. They are now in CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, MD, MS, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI. Their headquarters are in Littleton, MA.
