California’s Great America Military Discount

California’s Great America is a 100-acre amusement park in Santa Clara, CA which is owned and operated by Cedar Fair.

What is the discount?

Over Memorial Day and the 4th of July, they offer free admission to Great America. They also offer discounted tickets to family and friends.

Who’s eligible?

Active and retired military. Family members do not qualify but their service member can buy them discounted tickets.

How do you get the discount?

Show military ID at the ticket booth.

Can this discount be used online?

No.

About California’s Great America

They started as Marriot’s Great America by Marriott in 1976. They were sold to King’s Entertainment in 1989 and became Paramount Parks in 1992.

In 2006, Cedar Fair Entertainment bought the park and renamed it California’s Great America. They also replaced all the Nickelodeon themed areas with Peanuts themed areas.

The park is open late March through December and offer special days where service members or retired military can get in free.
