Amazon Prime Military, Student, and Other Discounts

Looking for an Amazon Military Discount? Unfortunately, they do not have an ongoing one. They have offered a special Veterans Day discount in the past. There are however ongoing student discounts as well as a few other discounts for EBT and Medicaid recipients.

Amazon Prime Military Discount For Veterans Day

In November of 2019, Amazon offered an amazing deal on Amazon Prime to veterans and active duty military. You were able to receive a year of Amazon Prime for $79 between November 6th through November 11th, 2019. The regular price is $119 so this was a savings of $40, more than 33% off!

You were still able to qualify if you already had an Amazon Prime account. Your subscription was extended for a year.

Who’s Was Eligible?

The discount was just for veterans and active duty military and not for dependents or family members, however, the whole family benefits from using Amazon Prime.

Amazon Student Discount

Amazon offers Amazon Prime Student, which is their student discount. The first six months of your subscription are free, after that, you would still be able to receive Amazon Prime at a 50% off discount.

Once you graduate from college or after you hit the end of your fourth year of your Prime Student Membership, whatever comes first, you will change to a regular Amazon Prime account, which would be $119 a year.

Amazon EBT and Medicaid Card Holders

Amazon also offers a discount to EBT and Medicaid Card Holders.

For EBT cardholders, you would receive Amazon for $5.99/month. You would need to enter your EBT information and would also need to re-qualify every 12 months. For Medicaid card holders, the discount would be the same and can be redeemed for up to four years. You would also need to re-qualify every 12 months and would have to upload an image of your Medicaid card.
