The Best 4th of July Deals for Military and Veterans

The 4th of July is to celebrate America’s birthday and a lot of families have at least a few days off to make memories together and have some summer fun. Here is a list of companies with special 4th of July sales and discounts for military and veterans.

Amusement Parks

California’s Great America

At California’s Great America in Santa Clara, California, they have had an Independence Day event in the past, as well as offering free complimentary tickets to members of the military. There does not seem to be one listed for 2021. You can however purchase military tickets, including the water park, for $35.00.

Carowinds

Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina, have had military days this time of year in the past. They waive the admission fee for active duty, retired military, national guard, veterans with an honorable or medical discharge, and ROTC. They do not seem to have one listed for 2021. You can however purchase military tickets, including the water park, for $39.99.

Cedar Point

In 2021, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, will be having a Light Up the Sky night on July 4th. There will be a spectacular firework display accompanied by a patriotic soundtrack. In the past, the cost has been $20 per car. They don’t seem to have a specific 4th of July offer for members of the military in 2021. You can however purchase military tickets for $39.99.

Dorney Park

Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania had Military Days from July 1st through July 7th, 2019. They have not updated this for 2021. During these days they have offered free tickets to active duty, retired, national guard, veterans with an honorable or medical discharge, and ROTC. 

Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia, has offered a Star-Spangled Celebration in the past. They had performances from local military bands as well as a dazzling firework show. They offered free admission to the park for active duty, retired military, as well as veterans with an honorable or medical discharge. There doesn’t seem to be an event listed for 2021, however, you can purchase military tickets, including the water park, for $39.99.

Kings Island

Kings Island in Kings Island, Ohio has had a 4th of July Spectacular in the past. This included the Grand Carnivale, an all-new international festival and parade. They also offered free admission on their military appreciation days from July 3rd-5th. In 2021, they just seem to have a 4th of July fireworks announcement. However, you can purchase military tickets, including the water park, for $43.00.

Valleyfair

Valleyfair, in Shakopee, Minnesota, has had Military Days around the 4th of July in the past. Then they have offered free military tickets for active duty, retired, national guard, veterans with an honorable or medical discharge, and ROTC. They do not seem to have made an announcement for 2021, however, you can purchase military tickets, including the water park, for $32.

Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri has had Military Days on July 4th in the past. Here they offer free admission for active duty, reserves, and retired military members. They don’t have any listed for 2021, however, you can purchase military tickets for $34.

Walgreen’s

From July 1-4 2021, Walgreens is offering 20% off eligible regular-priced items with MyWalgreens. This is in-store only. Visit the Walgreens website to learn more.

Academy Sports

At Academy Sports, a sporting goods store, you can find a 10% off military discount from May 2nd through July 5th. The discount is good both online and in person. You would need to be verified on ID.me or present your military ID when checking out. The discount is good for active duty, reserves, national guard, veterans, and immediate family members.

Rack Room Shoes

At Rack Room Shoes they do offer a 10% off military discount every Tuesday. In addition to that, they offer a 20% off military discount on the 4th of July, as well as Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The discount is for military members, the reserves, and their families. You just need to show your military ID when checking out.

Caesars Entertainment

At Caesars Entertainment, they are now offering 30% off on your hotel stay. There doesn’t seem to be a special discount for the 4th of July this year. 

They also offer a Caesars Rewards Salute Card which is for any active-duty military, national guard, reserves, veterans, and their spouses. The card upgrades you to Platinum Caesars rewards status.

With this card, you will receive complimentary self and valet parking at select hotels, special pricing at restaurants, and a complimentary stay at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and more. You can also get military discounts available at other hotels in Las Vegas, and other locations in the US.

Honda

There doesn’t seem to be a 2021 4th of July military discount for Honda.

Honda, and Acura, are offering a special deal for the military, first responders, and healthcare professionals for the 4th of July. The discount will be for $1,000 off and you will need to finance or lease through Honda or Acura financial services to qualify. The discount is for active duty, retirees, veterans, and their spouses within two years of separation. Gold star families also qualify and it is good until July 6th.

In addition to these 4th of July military discounts, there are plenty of other military discounts going on year-round, from Disneyland, to discount for kids, to airlines. Always check for a military discount when you are on vacation, or just out and about in town, as doing so will help you save a little bit of money while having fun with your spouse and family.

Bite Squad and DoorDash

Bite Squad and DoorDash, restaurant delivery apps have offered discount codes for the 4th of July in the past. Make sure to check for one before you place an order. 

Boston Market

Boston Market, with its casual rotisserie chicken, has offered a Family Meal Special in past years. You would get 1 whole chicken, ½ rack of ribs, 3 sides, 4 cornbreads, and 1 whole apple pie. 

Bass Pro Shops

At Bass Pro Shops sporting goods store, you can find their Star Spangled Summer Sale.

Carter’s, selling children’s clothing, has had 4th of July sales of 25% off their entire site and store in the past.

Crocs

Crocs footwear has had Independence day sales in the past, where you can receive 25% off sitewide, although exclusions do apply. They also have American Flag Shoes. 

JCPenney

JCPenny’s has a 4th of July Home sale.

Michael’s

At Michael’s, a craft and decor store, they are having a Red, White, and Blue sale. 

Old Navy, the Gap, and the Banana Republic

At Old Navy, they are offering a 50% off sale. The Gap and the Banana Republic are also having sales. 

Target

Target is having a summer sale!
