Transition Specialist and former Non-Commissioned Officer with 8 years of experience in the United States Army. Professional experience in Veteran Support Services, Career and Transition Assistance, Higher Education, Program Management, and Interagency Coordination with an additional 8+ years of professional and volunteer experience in all aspects of veteran and military family support. Cultivated working relationships with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Home Base Program, United States Military, USO, Department of Labor, and representatives from the United States Senate to provide customized support services and increase awareness of veteran’s healthcare needs, education benefits, career assistance, and military spouse support. Provides training and lectures on Post-Traumatic Stress, traumatic brain injury, and the transition from the military to civilian and academic life. Awarded the Army Commendation Medal and Combat Action Badge for actions taken during Operation Iraqi Freedom III.
